Services

Everything for your arteries and veins

An accurate diagnosis, then the right treatment for each case: medication, a catheter procedure or surgery. Ask the doctor about your case on WhatsApp.

01

Leg ischaemia (poor blood flow to the legs)

Blocked or narrowed leg arteries and pain when walking, treated by catheter (balloons and stents) or by bypass surgery that brings blood back to the foot.

02

Varicose vein treatment

By sclerotherapy, surgery, or closing the vein from the inside with no large incisions. The method is chosen after a Doppler scan.

03

Dialysis access for kidney patients

Creating the AV fistula and placing permanent dialysis catheters for kidney-failure patients, with follow-up and treatment of any problems.

04

Diabetic foot care

Checking blood flow to the foot in diabetic patients, treating wounds and ulcers, and restoring circulation to save the foot from amputation.

05

Colour Doppler ultrasound

A simple scan in the clinic that takes only minutes and shows where the problem is, how severe it is and the best treatment for you.

06

The latest varicose vein treatments

With the latest techniques worldwide: the faulty vein is closed from the inside by radiofrequency, endovenous laser or medical glue, under light local anaesthesia, and you go straight back to your day.

one of the easiest procedures

Dr. Imad treats varicose veins with the latest techniques worldwide: radiofrequency, endovenous laser or medical glue. The faulty vein is closed from the inside through a tiny puncture, instead of open surgery and stripping the whole vein.

The first sign of blocked arteriesA cramp in the leg after walking a certain distance that forces you to stop and rest. Do not ignore it.
A bypass: a detour for the bloodWhen an artery is blocked, the surgeon builds a new route that carries blood to the leg. It can be the difference between losing the leg and keeping it.
Do your varicose veins need an operation?A Doppler scan in the clinic shows within minutes where the varicose veins are, how severe they are and the best treatment.
Varicose veins do not always mean surgeryMany modern treatments solve the problem without an operation, if you get checked at the first symptoms.
Fingers changing colour in the coldIf the colour comes back within minutes once warm, it is mild. If it lasts for hours with pain and numbness, see a doctor.
Do not fear surgeryThe danger comes from the disease itself, and surgery can be the start of a life without pain. Fear arriving too late.

FAQ

Before you ask

Your question is not here?

Write to Dr. Imad directly on WhatsApp with a short description of your case.

When should I see a vascular surgeon?+

With leg pain when walking, varicose veins or swollen legs, a foot wound that does not heal (especially in diabetics), a cold or discoloured foot, or when you need a dialysis fistula.

Do varicose veins always need an operation?+

No. It depends on how severe they are and on the Doppler scan: compression stockings and medication, a minimally invasive procedure or surgery. The doctor chooses after the examination.

What are the latest varicose vein treatments?+

Closing the faulty vein from the inside with radiofrequency, endovenous laser or medical glue, under light local anaesthesia in about half an hour, and the patient goes straight back to normal life. The doctor chooses the method after a Doppler scan.

What is endovascular treatment?+

Treatment through a thin catheter inside the vessel, such as widening an artery with a balloon or placing a stent, without a large incision and usually with a shorter recovery.

Does a Doppler scan hurt?+

No. It is an ultrasound scan on the skin, with no pain and no needles, and it shows the blood flow in the arteries and veins.

Where are the clinics and how do I book?+

Two clinics: Ashrafiyat Sahnaya (daily 6–8 pm except Tuesday, WhatsApp +963 999 372 447), and the American Medical Hospital clinic in Damascus (daily 1–3 pm, WhatsApp +963 989 370 587).
